According to John 8:31, a true disciple is a believer who continues in God’s Word.  The word “continues” means to dwell or live there.  Sadly to say, a majority of us as believers do not live in God’s Word by attitude and action.  The main reason is that we spend little time with God’s Word.  If we desire to know:

  • the mind of God – we need to read His Word;
  • the will of God – we need to read His Word;
  • the purpose of God for our lives – we need to read His Word;
  • the blessings of God – we need to read His Word.

I have challenged our church to join me in reading through the New Testament in 30 days.  Will you join us?  Keep a notepad or use a note taking app on your phone or tablet to write down questions you may have as you read.  I will gladly discuss any of them with you should you choose to contact me about them.  I am excited about the amazing things that God will do if we as His people will just read His Word!  It will change us as His Holy Spirit utilizes the Word of God to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ.
